Lisa Hooper is an artist who was born in Hampshire but has also lived in north east Essex, mid Wales, Gloucestershire and Dumfries and Galloway where I have now settled.
The turning point in her artistic career came in 1992 when she joined an evening class in etching at what is now the University of Gloucestershire. Over successive years her love of printmaking grew and in 1998 she bought her own press. Lisa became a full time artist in 2006 when she moved to Port William, in South West Scotland, following redundancy. Her beautiful bird prints make stunning art greetings cards.
