Molly Brett
As a child, Molly Brett (1902-1990) was encouraged by her mother to draw from life, and her work reflects her deep love for nature and the countryside. She trained initially by correspondence, but subsequently attended Guildford School of Art. Amongst her early work were illustrations for several books by Enid Blyton, but she went on to write a series of stories herself, and these were published by the Medici Society accompanied by her charming anthropomorphic illustrations. Her charming work has timeless appeal as evidenced by the popularity of the birthday, greetings and christmas cards illustrated by Molly Brett which we publish in the Green Label range here at Orchard Cards.
